Operation: Teardown
Wankel's simple engine design not only allows it to run beautifully, but also makes the engine very easy to disassemble.
Step 1: Remove oil pan and strainer.

Step 2: Remove eccentric shaft bolt, flywheel nut, and flywheel.

Step 3: Remove all bolts holding engine together (18)

Step 4: Remove front cover

Step 5: Remove oil pump and counterweight assembly
No more oil pump or counterweight |
